James and Louise share a love as great as the romances captured within the pages of the most famous of novels. Some say their souls have forever been entwined, destined to find each other again and again. But in this life, how did they meet?

James insists he saw a beautiful woman (who was definitely out of his league), reading a book across the pub, and it was love at first sight. He bought her a drink, and he quickly found out how stubborn she was when she refused it. He then decided the woman probably didn’t like the first drink he bought her, so he bought her a different one. James went up to Louise and asked her about her book, and spoke to her about it at length, as he had also read it. They ended up talking all night. At the end of the night, he walked her home and confidently kissed her goodnight.

Louise, however, has a different version of events. It involves a cautious right swipe and her cancelling the first date. Hope was not lost, however, as Louise rescheduled the cancelled date for the next day. James was so eager, he met up with her later that very day, whilst on call for work. He treated her to a delightful drive thru dinner, and took her to his (sparsely decorated) home. The night ended when someone passed on, and James was called to dispatch them. James dropped Louise off at her flat, gave her the lightest of kisses, and promptly got in his car and drove away. He texted to apologise for kissing her minutes later. So romantic.
